2/17 SixthSense TEDTalks
I learned that the real world and the digital world can intersect to make everyday things easier. One thing I found cool was that you can just stand in front of a wall and draw whatever you want to on it. Another thing I found cool was how you can dial and call a number on just your hand. Another thing I found interesting was you can watch different things and see the current weather by just looking at a newspaper. The last thing I found cool was he made a motion sensor for his hand by just using a few mouse roller things and a box in 2000. The problems that could arise are just the fact that we could get even more rude and anti social than we already are with our iPhone's. We would be so distracted by the technology strapped to our bodies that we would cease to physically communicate with each other. Also, it might have some health damage too. We would be even lazier than we are today. To have everything so convenient and easy to find, we would stop moving around as much, causing many health problems to arise. That all shows that there are many pros and cons to this new technology.

1/14 Wattpad
My favorite app right now is called Wattpad. Wattpad is a social media website/app that allows users to write, share, and read a wide variety of stories. I like this app because I can read many different themes and genres of writing all for free on my phone. To comment, add, or write stories, you have to sign up as a user, but if you just want to read, like me, you can just download the app and get started! That is why my favorite app at the moment is Wattpad.

1/12/15 Collusion
The speaker, Gary Kovacs, was very clear about his opinion on websites tracking internet users without their consent, and needless to say, he was concerned. He, personally, has a nine year old daughter, and he set up collusion for her computer, and in two hours, there were already multiple websites stalking her. He was a little freaked out when it happened to him, but when he saw the the websites tracking her, he became angry. Personally, I think they are looking at our information because they want to see if we have a compatible personality for their websites. Also, they use our website history for advertisements on our games and social media accounts. Tracking could be a good thing because with them looking at out information, they could find new and interesting websites for the users to explore, but on the other hand, the trackers could be tapping into our financial history, or personal information and hacking into our bank accounts, or using our information for fraudulence. I wasn't very surprised by how many websites were tracking him, because I was very aware of the internet being an unsafe place to some, but I don't think it's okay, because I'm pretty sure if I downloaded that software, there would be an unfortunate amount of red and grey dots. After watching that, I'm going to be sure to be a lot more careful on the internet.
